31 Arkansas Counties Now Offer Online Property Tax Payments

Several Arkansas Counties extend October 10 deadline

LITTLE ROCK, AR - October 6, 2009 - (RealEstateRama) — For residents of 31 Arkansas counties, personal property and real estate taxes can be paid online at http://www.arkansas.gov/ or over the phone, with most counties extending the weekend October 10 deadline to midnight on Tuesday, October 13.  Residents should be sure to check the full listing of counties and deadlines available at www.Arkansas.gov.

Working in partnership with county tax collectors, the official state Web site (http://www.arkansas.gov/) offers citizens the ability to pay personal property and real estate tax payments with a credit card or electronic check online, over the phone, or in person at their Collector’s office.

Counties offering secure online Web payments with a credit card (MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover) or electronic check are:  Benton, Calhoun, Carroll, Clark, Cleburne, Columbia, Craighead, Crittenden, Crawford, Cross, Dallas, Faulkner, Grant, Howard, Independence, Jefferson, Johnson, Lafayette, Lawrence, Miller, Little River, Ouachita, Poinsett, Pope, Pulaski, Randolph, Saline, Sebastian, Van Buren, Washington, and White Counties.

In addition to online payments, Calhoun, Carroll, Clark, Cleburne, Columbia, Craighead, Crawford, Crittenden, Cross, Independence, Jefferson, Johnson, Lafayette, Little River, Miller, Ouachita, Pope, Poinsett, Pulaski, Saline, Sebastian, Van Buren, and White counties now accept credit card payments in their county office.  Many of these counties also offer a payment option through an automated phone system.

To use the online payment services, taxpayers may enter the parcel number provided on their tax statements or can search the database for specific parcels.  The property tax system guides the user through a series of entry screens and provides a confirmation and printable receipt page for recordkeeping.
