Governor Asa Hutchinson Announces Bear Chaney as New Director of Assessment Coordination Department

LITTLE ROCK – February 27, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Governor Asa Hutchinson has announced Bear Chaney as the new Director of the Arkansas Assessment Coordination Department.

Governor Hutchinson issued the following statement on Bear Chaney:

“I am pleased to announce Bear Chaney as the new director of the Arkansas Assessment Coordination Department. Bear brings decades of experience in real estate and as an assessor. His expertise in the field and his knowledge of Arkansas real estate makes him an ideal fit to lead this important department.”

Bear Chaney has worked in the real estate field for over 30 years, working for three different Arkansas Assessor’s offices and owning his own appraisal business. He is a licensed and a Certified Residential Appraiser with Arkansas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board in addition to being a Level 4 Appraiser and a reappraisal manager according to ACD guidelines. Bear is currently the Assessor in Benton County and lives in Bella Vista.
