LITTLE ROCK, AR. – March 17, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Arkansas Secretary of State Mark Martin is leading a six-member delegation to Ghana for a two-week trip to explore opportunities for economic development and trade. The Sister Cities organization, who has sponsored this trip, is hosting the forum; Sister Cities is a global partner managing the relationship between the Ghana Region of Africa and the Arkansas Delta Region.

“I am proud to lead this team to explore ways we can enhance trade and grow our economies. Not only can we find ways to alleviate poverty in Africa, we can do so by strengthening exports from Arkansas and provide jobs right here at home,” stated Secretary Martin.

The Economic Development Forum slated for March 16, 2015 plans to discuss agriculture, tourism, communication, oil and gas, health, education-exchange programs, roads, and building infrastructures.

A memorandum of understanding to seal the partnership would be signed after an exploratory meeting bringing together businesses and individuals to expand both local economies.
