Get Free Advice on Protecting Your Home from Future Disasters and Preparing For Emergencies
LITTLE ROCK, AR – June 15, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — Homeowners rebuilding after the spring storms or planning for future emergencies can receive valuable information from specialists with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) at two Arkansas locations this week.
FEMA’s mitigation specialists can answer questions about protecting homes from future disaster damage, as well as offer other home improvement tips and techniques. Topics will include mold and mildew cleanup and prevention, flood- and wind-resistant building methods, wind straps and other measures to make homes stronger and safer. Free publications on these topics will also be available.
Emergency preparedness will be the theme of materials presented by FEMA Community Relations specialists, who will also be on hand at these events on Saturday, June 18. Learn a four-step procedure that can protect the whole family, including pets, during an emergency. Attendees can take home free informational pamphlets in both English and Spanish.
