Washington, DC – August 19, 2009 – (RealEstateRama) — U.S. Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor, along with U.S. Representative John Boozman (AR-03) today announced $39,860 in funds to improve the Dyer community building.
“Community centers play an important role in keeping Arkansas towns and cities strong. They provide a central gathering spot for meetings and other events, bringing together residents and local officials. This federal assistance will fund vital improvements to the Dyer community building and allow residents to continue to make the best use of their local resources,” said Lincoln.
“In many of our rural communities today, infrastructure projects are piling up as resources become tighter. These federal funds will help Dyer improve its community infrastructure, attract new investment and jobs, and improve the quality of life in the community,” Pryor said.
“Community centers are great places for families and neighbors to gather for activities and to conduct official business,” Boozman said. This funding provides the opportunity to make the necessary building upgrades that meet the needs of the community,” Boozman said.
