University of Arkansas Receives Federal Grant
Washington, D.C. - October 07, 2008 - (RealEstateRama) — U.S. Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor along with U.S. Representative John Boozman (AR-03) today announced that the University of Arkansas is the recipient of an $832,684 grant through the U.S. Department of Education’s Rehabilitation Continuing Education Program.

Housing is growing steadily in Winfield
Housing construction in Winfield has been strong in the past 10 years and is still moving at a good pace, Winfield City Manager Warren Porter said this week. Through Sept. 19, 2007, permits for 16 homes and 20 apartment units had been issued by the city this year, Porter told the Winfield Rotary Club Wednesday. A total of 40 units were constructed last year.
Residential Building Permits Drop 56 Percent in 2Q
The number of residential building permits issued in Northwest Arkansas during the second quarter of 2007 decreased by 56 percent from the second quarter 2006, according to the Arvest Bank Skyline Report.
