Senate Approves Renaming Helena-West Helena Federal Building in Honor of First Jewish Federal Judge
                    U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) spoke on the Senate floor yesterday to call up and pass S.1707, legislation to rename the Helena-West Helena Federal building in honor of Judge Jacob Trieber, the nation’s first Jewish Federal Judge, and a long-time resident and community leader of Phillips County. The Senate unanimously approved the bill.                
            Members of the Arkansas Delegation Announce Over $1.8 Million for Airport Improvements

                    The Department of Veterans Affairs Office of the Inspector General (VAOIG) notified U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) and Congressman French Hill (AR-02) that it will add the Little Rock Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) to its national project on VA’s Green Management Program Solar Panel Projects after the lawmakers detailed problems with the facility’s renewable energy program.

The groups will use the HAC funds to  acquire and improve land, and then they will work with Arkansas families  to help them build their own homes.

                    Washington, DC - March 30, 2010 - (RealEstateRama) --  U.S. Senators  Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor and U.S. Representatives Marion Berry  (AR-01), Vic Snyder (AR-02) and Mike Ross (AR-04) today announced that  17 Arkansas housing authorities will receive a total of $765,627 in U.S.  Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funds to hire and  retain coordinators who will help individuals receiving public housing  assistance secure employment. Coordinators help families and individuals  acquire training and other services that assist them in finding  employment or higher-paying jobs.
